A bound print edition of A Coloring Hand-Book of Figure-Skating is indeed underway — once the optimal paper is in hand. This is a greater challenge than anticipated; despite the craze, few online sources seem willing to reveal ideal paper weights and textures, mattes and coatings and all, for production of a professional — and non-bleedable — coloring book. But after a lead on 32 lb. for a high-quality product, the only question remains to determine how central the debate between “Color Copy” and “Laser Print,” 98 or 100 wattage brightness, really is for, frankly, printing out assorted black-and-white images created by nineteenth century publishing technology.
